A lightweight upper is added to Salming's longest running indoor shoe. The Viper maximises the player's agility - a low-to-the-ground design puts the player in close contact with the floor and helps them to transfer their energy into sharp movements.

The Viper SL is a more flexible, breathable, and lighter version of the Viper shoe. Air mesh has been added to the upper part of the shoe to provide maximum breathability and comfort. The Viper SL also comes with a new tongue construction for a comfortable fit and the stability you need on court. The core technologies of the previous Viper models are still present; the XR110™ outsole is a durable, lightweight rubber compound that provides the best possible grip on all indoor surfaces, whilst Salming’s Rollbar technology allows the shoe to move easily in and out of lunges, and the LMS+ provides stability to the landing foot in a lunge to prevent the foot and ankle from rolling over. In addition to this, the Viper has the new RunLite2 midsole used in Salming’s running shoes which provides a better energy return from your very first step.

As with all Salming shoes, this is equipped with TGS 62/75™ - Torsion Guide System. The distance from heel to the ball of the foot (62% of the shoe) has been designed with extra stability, which ends in the so-called “ballet” line, a 75° angle. In front of the 75° line, the shoe has greater flexibility to stimulate the foot’s natural movements.
